Switching

Utilita says a switch to it is usually completed within five working days. Fixed Price Energy Plans are available for 12, 24 or 36 months. Customers do not need to send a termination notice, but Utilita may object to a switch away while a fixed term is still running. Leaving a fixed term early can incur a termination fee of 20% of the monthly price multiplied by the months remaining. Customers on out-of-contract terms pay no termination fee. Utilita sends a Statement of Renewal Terms 60 days before a fixed contract ends. Customers who do not renew move onto Business Variable Rates.
