Customers moved to
EDF Energy (Supplier of Last Resort, from 17 August 2019) took the remaining ~8,000 customers (about 7,500 domestic and fewer than 500 business). The ~43,000 moved earlier to Toto Energy passed to EDF too when Toto failed in October 2019.

Solarplicity Supply Limited was a Hertfordshire-based domestic and business gas and electricity supplier (formerly Loco2 Energy Supply). It stopped trading in August 2019 after failing to pay statutory demands from Smart DCC and National Grid Gas, and Ofgem revoked its supply licences on 17 August 2019. Most customers had already been moved to Toto Energy. EDF Energy took the remaining ~8,000 as Supplier of Last Resort, and the company was dissolved in November 2023.

Customers and switching

Solarplicity no longer supplies energy and you cannot switch to it. Ofgem put former customers on EDF Energy deemed tariffs from 17 August 2019, with no exit fees. EDF honoured domestic credit balances for current and past Solarplicity customers. EDF did not have to take on unresolved complaints. FIT generators had to choose a new FIT licensee themselves under the CoFPD process. Anyone who owed Solarplicity money was chased by the administrators or EDF. The administration ended on 24 August 2023 and the company was dissolved on 24 November 2023. solarplicity.com now shows a hosting placeholder page.
