SEFE Energy Limited is the business-only gas and electricity supplier formerly trading as Gazprom Energy. It was renamed in August 2022 and has been owned by the German federal government since November 2022. It holds Ofgem non-domestic supply licences and offers fixed, flexible and renewable gas and electricity contracts to more than 30,000 GB organisations. It publishes monthly deemed and out-of-contract rates, but contract prices are only available by quote.

Switching

The Gazprom Energy brand no longer trades. The legal entity (Gazprom Marketing & Trading Retail Limited) was renamed SEFE Energy Limited on 1 August 2022. This followed its German parent, Gazprom Germania GmbH, being placed under trusteeship of Germany's Federal Network Agency in June 2022 and renamed SEFE Securing Energy for Europe GmbH on 17 June 2022. The German federal government became sole owner of the SEFE group on 14 November 2022. Since 31 August 2026 the UK company's direct parent is SEFE Energy GmbH (formerly WINGAS GmbH). Existing supply agreements, bank details and phone numbers were unaffected by the rename; email addresses moved from @gazprom-energy.com to @sefe-energy.com. SEFE supplies non-domestic customers only: it serves over 30,000 customers in Great Britain from Manchester. New contracts are quote-based through its online quote form. Businesses on out-of-contract or deemed rates can switch without notice or termination fees.
