Switching

SME supply for businesses using up to 100,000 kWh electricity and 293,000 kWh gas a year (or turnover under £2m and fewer than 10 full-time staff) is handled by E.ON Next. Quotes need a postcode online or a call. Larger users are sent to npower Business Solutions. Existing customers can renew online within 67 days of their contract end date, or by phone/email (0808 501 5109, sales-direct@eonnext.com) up to 1 year ahead. E.ON Next sends a renewal letter about 60 days before a fixed plan ends. If no new plan is agreed, the customer moves to a Flexible Business Plan or Variable Price Plan, or pays out-of-contract prices. The fixed-price guarantee against pass-through cost changes covers 1- and 2-year fixed plans only (T&Cs cl. 9.2.4, updated 20 Aug 2026). A customer can switch away once the notice period has expired and the fixed plan's end date has been reached.
