Switching

Quotes via the online form or account managers (0161 762 1883); contracts run 12–60 months. The supply transfer can take up to 15 days once the contract is accepted. The previous supplier may object if there is an outstanding balance or the customer is still in contract. If no renewal is agreed, out-of-contract rates apply from the contract end date. Premises supplied without any formal contract go on deemed rates. Both are generally more expensive than contract rates. Brokers may be paid commission through uplifts to the unit rate and/or standing charge. For micro businesses, no termination notice is required and a renewal statement must be sent at least 60 days before the contract ends. Electricity customers pay rates set by region and meter profile class, and gas out-of-contract rates are banded by annual consumption (AQ).
