Customers moved to: PFP Energy (from around 17 December 2019, on existing tariffs and terms). PfP Energy then failed, and Ofgem appointed British Gas as Supplier of Last Resort for its customers from 11 September 2021.

Better Energy Supply Ltd was a Nottingham-based, gas-only UK supplier. The company was incorporated in March 2010 and started supplying customers in 2011. Its customers moved to PFP Energy in December 2019. After an unpaid statutory demand, Ofgem revoked its gas and electricity supply licences with effect from 09:00 on 13 March 2020, the same day the company entered administration. The company went into creditors' voluntary liquidation in March 2021 and was dissolved on 19 August 2023.

Customers and switching

Better Energy no longer supplies energy, and there is nothing to switch to or away from. Former customers were moved to PFP Energy in December 2019 on their existing tariff terms, with no exit fees. PfP customers then moved to British Gas on 11 September 2021. Any remaining business or household previously supplied by Better Energy is now with British Gas or a supplier it has since chosen. The Energy Ombudsman says it cannot take disputes against Better Energy Supply because the company went into administration.
