Customers moved to: kinex (a Verastar brand), which became Clear Business (Verastar Limited, company no. 3667643) from 1 June 2024

Axis for Business was the trading name of Hull-based Axis Telecom Ltd, which held an electricity supply licence from April 2009 and later also supplied gas. It left the energy market voluntarily in 2020, and Verastar took over its energy customers, first under kinex and now under the Clear Business name. Axis Telecom Ltd is still registered as active at Companies House, but it now lists real-estate activities and is not an energy supplier.

Customers and switching

Axis for Business no longer supplies gas or electricity. Ofgem revoked its gas supply licence from 4 May 2020 and its electricity supply licence from 25 September 2020, both at Axis Telecom Limited's own request (letter of 24 January 2020). Its energy customers were transferred to Verastar and served under the kinex brand; kinex has traded as Clear Business since 1 June 2024. Former Axis customers who have not switched since then are likely to be supplied by Clear Business. If a fixed contract has ended, Clear Business out-of-contract (standard variable) or deemed rates may apply; these are published on its out-of-contract page and are usually higher than fixed contracts. Such customers can compare fixed business tariffs and switch supplier.
