AvantiGas is the UGI International-owned LPG brand trading as Avanti Gas Limited, a company first registered in 1950 as Shell-Mex and B.P. Gases Limited and renamed from Shell Gas Limited in 2011. It supplies off-grid bulk LPG, bottled LPG and BioLPG blends, and no longer offers mains gas: that business and its customers moved to British Gas in October 2022. It holds no current Ofgem supply licence, and business LPG prices are quoted on request rather than published.

Switching

AvantiGas no longer supplies mains (grid) gas or electricity. Its UK business mains-gas arm, AvantiGas On Limited, was sold to British Gas with effect from 21 October 2022, and that company's Ofgem gas supply licence was revoked at its own request from 15 September 2023. AvantiGas (Avanti Gas Limited) continues as an off-grid LPG supplier to homes and businesses in England, Scotland and Wales. Business LPG prices are not published: the website sends business customers to request a consultation, and domestic customers to an online quote tool.
