Affect Energy was an independent supplier based in Shoreham-by-Sea that sold gas and electricity to homes and businesses. Octopus Energy bought it in August 2018. The original company (09263368) still exists as a subsidiary in the Octopus group, now called Arbelos Energy Limited, and its gas supply licence was revoked in February 2022. Affect Energy has no live tariffs, prices, Trustpilot profile or website.

Customers and switching

Affect Energy no longer supplies gas or electricity. Octopus Energy bought the company on 31 August 2018, when it had about 22,000 domestic customers (40,000 energy accounts), mostly in south-east England. At first customers carried on paying Affect as normal and did not need to do anything. The customer base was then moved onto Octopus Energy systems. Former Affect customers who have questions about their accounts should contact Octopus Energy. Businesses looking for a new contract need to compare suppliers that are trading now.
